Choosing your Paint.

Choosing paint on the surface seems very simple right? It may not be quite as simple as you think. There are too many brands to mention and even more products in each brand. If you're looking for an inexpensive paint you can go just about anywhere but If the price is right, the product is usually wrong. You get what you pay for with paint as with most things. A $5.00 savings per gallon could make a big difference in coverage and durability. Hire me to paint in your home and you get top quality products. My preferences are Sherwin Williams and Benjamin Moore. Both of these manufacturers have a variety of products to do most any job.

Harmony® Interior Acrylic Latex Paint                  HGTV HOME™ by Sherwin-Williams Ovation® Interior Paint               Duration Home® Interior Acrylic Latex Paint

These are a few of Sherwin Williams top interior latex paints. All 3 are low or zero VOC's (Volatile Organic Compounds), low odor and are considered "Green Paints". All are easy to work with, provide excellent coverage and durability.

Cashmere® Interior Acrylic Latex            SuperPaint® Interior Acrylic Latex            ProClassic® Interior Acrylic Latex

More choices from Sherwin Williams. Although Super Paint has long been a top choice of mine along with Benjamin Moore's Regal line, changes in the industry and advances in technology have given us a much wider variety of products to choose from. Pro Classic is a step above commercial quality but does not quite provide the coverage and durability of the other products.

Benjamin Moore's Eco Spec and Natura are both zero VOC paints. Eco Spec is a commercial quality while Natura is a step up and better suited for your home. These paints are water based and are considered "Green Paints".

These are a few of Benjamin Moore's Options for Low VOC paints from the top of the line Aura down to the Ben product with a couple of ceiling paints mixed in. The Advance is a hybrid alkyd (oil) based product that cleans up with soap and water almost as easy as the traditional latex paints. Advance gives a quality finish for your trim that you just can't get from latex paint.

Why not just go to the convenient big box stores? Although one of the leading paint brands is sold at one of those big box stores it just does not stand up to the competition. The wrong products can cost my team valuable time on the job. This is very important as our objective is to get your project completed with quality and efficiency! Behr's Marquee paint is far superior to any other Behr products  and although still not popular among pro's it's market share is growing and it does stand up to it's advertisements and the daily use of professional painters.
